We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.

For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.

There are many opportunities for parents to be involved at John the Baptist Catholic Primary School. These opportunities include classroom parent helpers, parent contacts, various school committees, support for events, social justice initiatives, carnivals, Eucharistic celebrations, workshops, information sessions and connect meetings.

Parents in the Classroom

Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate in, and assist with, classroom programs. Parents wishing to participate must have completed the Volunteer Induction Program and must have received a Volunteer Working with Children check number.
